Accessing Settings

You can access your account information and your notifications preferences through your Settings page. To get there, navigate to the lower-left corner of the Espa desktop app and select Settings.

Within Setting you can navigate to your Account and Settings:

Account

Navigate here to manage:

  • your preferred Name
  • your local Time Zone
  • your preferred communication method - how Espa contacts you outside the desktop app.
      • NOTE: Espa will continue working within your email inbox (labeling and drafting replies), regardless of which communication method you select. This setting only affects how Espa proactively chats with you.

Notifications

The Notifications section includes four settings that help you customize how proactively Espa reaches out.

  1. Needs Reply"– Critical Decision Needed
    1. Espa may detect that an email requires important judgment or analysis by the user—think major decisions vs finding a meeting time. If so, you can decided if you would like a notification from Espa before a draft is created.  
  2. "Needs Action"– Significant Work Required”
    1. Espa flags emails that require additional tasks or time before they can be answered (e.g., your tax advisor asks for documents you must compile before responding).
  3. Daily Schedule Notifications
    1. Espa will send you a daily summary of items on your calendar. You can configure if you want to receive a daily breakdown of your calendar events, and if so what time.
  4. Global Notification Toggle
    1. At the top right of the Notifications page, there is a On/Off for all notifications.

Reminder: Notification settings can be changed at any time.

Espa is designed to flex with your workload. Out of office for a family vacation? → toggle off. Busy work season? → toggle on.
