Getting Started
Ready to get started? Espa is here to make managing tasks, reminders, calendars, and everyday logistics easier and more productive.
The more you use Espa, the better it gets at understanding how you work. Over time, that means less effort spent on routine details and more time for the things that matter most.
How do I interact with Espa?
You can interact with Espa in whatever way is most convenient for you.
Espa supports:
- text
- chat
- voice memos
- file uploads
You do not need to learn special commands or a particular format. Just ask naturally.
Try it now
A quick way to get started is to ask Espa to help with something simple.
For example:
- “Show me my schedule for tomorrow.”
- “Summarize my most recent email.”
- “Recommend a good night for dinner based on my schedule, and suggest a few restaurants.”
Check your Playbooks
Once you connect your accounts, Espa begins learning how you communicate, schedule your time, and manage day-to-day responsibilities. It uses that information to create personalized Playbooks.
Your Playbooks reflect Espa’s current understanding of your communication style, scheduling habits, and preferences. They help Espa draft emails, manage your calendar, support tasks, and interact with you in a way that feels more personal and useful.
To view your Playbooks:
- Open the Memories tab in the upper-left corner of Espa, or select Memories from the home screen
- Open any memory with “Playbook” in the title
You can review and edit your Playbooks at any time. You can also message Espa directly and ask it to update them so they stay accurate and current.
When you first begin using Espa, you will usually see two core Playbooks: your Email Playbook and your Calendar Playbook.
Email Playbook
Your Email Playbook is a summary of your tone, writing style, and communication habits.
Espa uses it to help draft and revise emails in a way that sounds like you. Many users are surprised by how accurately Espa captures their style. If something feels off, you can edit the Playbook at any time.
Calendar Playbook
Your Calendar Playbook is based on your past calendar activity and scheduling habits.
Espa uses it to better understand your preferences around meetings, timing, routines, and availability. This helps Espa support your productivity and schedule things in a way that fits your personal and professional life.
How should I ask Espa for help?
Using Espa is simple: just ask naturally, the same way you would ask a personal assistant.
You do not need special syntax or rigid commands. Clear, natural requests work best.
For example:
- “Add a reminder for tomorrow at 3 PM to call Paul.”
- “Summarize the article I attached.”
- “Draft a follow-up email to the group.”
- “Schedule a meeting with Sarah next week.”
If Espa needs more information to complete something correctly, it will ask a follow-up question.
