Privacy & Security: A Deeper Dive
We take your privacy seriously. Here's the breakdown:
What We Store
- A secure copy of recent emails, calendar events, and messages with Espa (so Espa can work)
- Access tokens for Gmail and Calendar via OAuth (that you can revoke at anytime)
- Espa's memories of your preferences (which you can edit or delete anytime at https://app.espa.ai/memories )
How We Store It
- Encrypted in transit and at rest (TLS / HTTPS)
- Stored on secure, access-controlled infrastructure
- Logs are purged regularly — your data is only stored as long as it's useful
What Models We Use
- We use AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google (Gemini)
- Your data is not used to train these models
- Logs may be temporarily stored by these providers (check their policies for more)
Transparency
- You can see what Espa remembers at https://app.espa.ai/memories
- Note: You can always edit memories from this page as well
- You can revoke access at any time via your Google account setting.
⚠️ Risks, Accuracy & Quality
Espa is designed to be helpful—not reckless.
Safeguards
- Espa never sends emails without your explicit authorization.
- You can always ask Espa what it’s done recently: “What actions did you take today?”
Known Risks
- Espa may misunderstand intent or make occasional mistakes (don't we all?)
- The first draft of replies may not always sound like you (we’re working on training tone of voice!)
